Duskull (Yomawaru)

Duskull may be based on the Grim Reaper or the bogeyman. The Japanese equivalent of the bogeyman is called the Namahage.

Duskull is a combination of dusk and skull.
Yomawaru is a combination of 妖魔 yōma (ghost) and 悪 waru (bad thing/person). It may also derive from 夜回り yomawari (night watch[man]) or 夜回る yomawaru (night wanderer). It is also similar to Yamawarawa (a hairy, one-eyed spirit, sometimes considered a kappa), present in The Illustrated Night Parade of a Hundred Demons.
